High Speed Internet Bandwidth Test
Welcome to FastNet Internet bandwidth speed test page! Please note that the results will vary when compared to other Internet speedtest providers, as the speed and latency of you Internet connection is highly dependent on the distance, and quality and bandwidth of lines between your computer and the server which is being used for a speed test.
For example, if you run a speed test for a connection between your PC and your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the download and upload speed should be higher than when you run a speedtest between your same PC and a server that is outside of your ISP’s network.
At the same time, the second speed test result will probably be more realistic as it will emulate some outside server that you access on daily bases. It is probably true that websites you’re accessing regularly are outside of your ISP main network.
In addition, the test results will depend on the type of the Internet connection you have in place. By the rule, DSL or cable based connections should be slower then fiber-optic based connections. If you use wireless Internet (Wi-Fi), then you have yet another type of connection that usually falls behind any of the already mentioned three.
All of the above will influence the results of the speed test of your broadband connection.
